“Aliens at Old Man Parson’s farm. Maybe not the smartest aliens, but aliens. Of greater significance, I had spent the evening talking to Morgan Merino.”
Kevin Andrews
One of my favorite Science Fiction writers of the classic era is Clifford D. Simak. Many of his stories feature ordinary people, often farmers, who encounter aliens on their land. Sometimes they participate in time travel, or interact with other strange phenomenon. Somehow, I have always been attracted to the intersection of the ordinary life and the unexplained event.
So in the fading days of agriculture in my little town of Grapefruit Grove, I knew there must be aliens at Old Man Parson’s farm. Being Florida, however, the aliens seem more like yet one more invasive species.
